ANTI-HARASSMENT POLICY
Every Partner Driver and Employee must agree to the following:
Sexual and gender-based harassment policy
Read and agree to sexual and gender-based harassment policy
Drivern prohibits sexual and gender-based harassment
Examples of sexual and gender-based harassment:
- demanding hugs
- invading personal space
- making unnecessary physical contact, including unwanted touching, etc.
- using language that puts someone down and/or comments toward women (or men, in some cases),
- sex-specific derogatory names
- leering or inappropriate staring
- making gender related comments about someone’s physical characteristics or mannerisms
- making comments or treating someone badly because they don’t conform with sex-role stereotypes
- showing or sending pornography, sexual pictures or cartoons, sexually explicit graffiti, or other sexual - images (including online)
- sexual jokes, including passing around written sexual jokes (for example, by e-mail)
- rough and vulgar humour or language related to gender
- using sexual or gender-related comment or conduct to bully someone
- spreading sexual rumours (including online)
- making suggestive or offensive comments or hints about members of a specific gender
- making sexual propositions- verbally abusing, threatening or taunting someone based on gender
- bragging about sexual prowess- demanding dates or sexual favours
- asking questions or talking about sexual activities
- making an employee dress in a sexualized or gender-specific way
- acting in a paternalistic way that someone thinks undermines their status or position of responsibility
- making threats to penalize or otherwise punish a person who refuses to comply with sexual advances (known as reprisal).
Anti-Harassment and NonDiscrimination Policy
Read and agree to Anti-Harassment and NonDiscrimination Policy -
Drivern prohibits discrimination or harassment based on the following grounds, and any combination of these grounds:
- Age- Creed (religion)
- Sex (including pregnancy and breastfeeding)
- Sexual orientation- Gender identity
- Gender expression- Family status (such as being in a parent-child relationship)
- Marital status (including married, single, widowed, divorced, separated or living in a conjugal relationship outside of marriage, whether in a same-sex or opposite-sex relationship)
- Disability (including mental, physical, developmental or learning disabilities)
- Race
- Ancestry- Place of origin
- Ethnic origin- Citizenship- Colour- Record of offences (criminal conviction for a provincial offence, or for an offence for which a pardon has been received)
- Association or relationship with a person identified by one of the above grounds
- Perception that one of the above grounds applies.
Read and agree to Drivern Dos & Don’ts
Dos Drivers Must -
- Maintain good personal Hygiene - teeth, body
- Smart casual dress code
- Vehicle tidiness
- Remind customer to wear seatbelt
- Update customer if route changes
- Use appropriate language and tone of voice
- Treat all customer with respect regardless of gender, race, age, social status, religious beliefs etc
Don’ts - Drivers Should not
- Unnecessarily talk to customers
- Engage customer on private matters
- Not to ask customers where, live. work, worship, what they believe, if they are marriage or not etc
- Give personal compliments about dress, appearance
